Elven Forestcap Mushroom and Lorendal Featherwhisper Pie

Elven Ingredients:

  • Moonlit Spudblossoms

  • Starlight Garlic Clove

  • Lorendal Featherwhisper Thigh

  • Sunfire Root

  • Elven Breadcrumbs

  • Forestcap Mushrooms

  • Lorendal Featherwhisper Stock Paste

  • Elven Crème Fraiche

  • Grated Moongoose Cheese

  • Dewdrop Elixir

  • Wild Honey

Replacement Ingredients:

  • Baking Potato

  • Garlick Clove

  • Chicken Thigh

  • Carrot

  • Breadcrumbs

  • Standard Mushrooms

  • Chicken Stock Paste

  • Crème Fraiche

  • Grated Cheese

  • Olive Oil

  • Honey

Before you start make sure you will heat up your oven, use a lot wood to make it hot or if you have one of those fancy Gnomish Ovens set it up for 200° C/392° F. When you are done bring large saucepan of water with ½ tsp salt to boil.

Peel the Moonlit Spudblossoms or Potato to and slice into 1cm thick rounds. Once water is boiling, add the slices to the water and shimmer until you can easily slip a knife through, 8-12 minutes should be enough. Carefully drain and set aside. Peel the grate the garlic.

While Spudblossoms or your Potatoes cook, heat a drizzle of oil in a frying pan on medium-high heat. Once hot add the diced Lorendal Featherwhisper Thighs or if you were unable to catch Featherwhisper use Chicken Thigh, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned all over, around 3-4 minutes, make sure you turn in occasionally. When done transfer your Featherwhisper to bowl and set aside.

Next lets work on Sunfire Root or Carrot if you to scared to visit deeps of Eternal Forest. Trim the Sunfire Root (or Carrot), then halve lengthways, there is no need to peel the root. Chop into rough 1cm wide, 5 cm long batons.

Pop the Sunfire Root or Carrot onto a large baking tray. Drizzle with oil, season with salt and pepper, then toss to coat. Spread out in a single layer. Roast until tender in the oven, roughly 20-25 minutes, don't forget to turn them halfway through. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and 2 spoons of Dewdrop Elixir or olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Return the frying pan that you used or fry Lorendal Featherwhisper Thighs to medium-high heat and frizzle with oil again. Once hot, add sliced sliced Forestcap Mushrooms to the pan, if you struglle to find Forestcap Mushrooms in your forest then use standard Mushroms you usually use. Season it with salt and pepper and fry until browned, around 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in Starlight Garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add water for the sauce around 50-100ml and add Lorendal Featherwhisper Stock Paste or just standard Chicken Stock Paste. Return Lorendal Featherwhisper or Chicken back to the pan, then bring to the boil. Mix in Elven Crème Fraiche and Grated Moongoose Cheese the turn down the heat and shimmer gently until thickened, around 3-4 minutes. Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed!

Transfer the Lorendal Featherwhisper (or Chicken!) and mushroom filling to the ovenproof dish. Layer on the cooked Moonlit Spudblossoms Slices or Potatoes Slices, then sparkle with crumbs. Season with pepper and bake on the top shelf of the oven until golden brown, approximately 10-12 minutes. When Sunfire Root or Carrots have 5 minutes remaining, remove the tray from the oven. Drizzle over with the 1 spoon of honey, then return to the oven and roast for the remaining time.

When ready, server your hotpot on plates with the roasted carrots alongside!


Ahh, the taste of childhood. This is one of my favourite dishes from way back when I was just a little Elf! My grandma used to make it when I was sad to cheer me up! It has this unique taste of the forest. Unfortunately many ingredients like Lorendal Featherwhisper meat can only be found in Eternal Forest, therefore I spend last hundred years trying to find replacement that taste as close as possible to original but are easily accusable in Human Settlements. If you can acquire original ingredient then I recommend doing so, but if not use the on you are more familiar with!
